Robert is a witness to his brother's charter concerning Annington. (Round, Calendar of Documents Preserved in France, No 1110)
He was shown in the Exon Domesday Geld Accounts as a tenant of his brother, William in two hides in Selkley hundred, Wilts, for which he had not paid geld. In the final Domesday Book the only holding of William de Braose in Selkley hundred is of two hides at Essage (today known as Shaw) so Robert once held these two hides.
